How SenseCast handles your sales data

Last updated: October 2026

Your sales data stays yours. We use it only to build your restaurant's forecast, we never sell or share it, and we delete it whenever you ask.

What we ask for

We need a sales export from your point-of-sale system (Toast, Square, Clover or similar), ideally the last 3 to 12 months.

We needWe don't need
Date and time of each orderCustomer names, phone numbers or emails
Menu item soldCredit card or payment details
QuantityStaff names, schedules or wages
Price (optional)Bank, payroll or tax records
Order or check numberYour recipes or supplier costs

If your export includes customer or payment columns, delete them before sending. If any slip through, we remove them as soon as the file arrives.

How we use it

We use your data for one thing: forecasting how busy your restaurant will be and how much of each dish you'll sell, and turning that into your prep lists and staffing guidance.

We never:

Who sees it and where it's kept

Only the SenseCast founder, Jacob Paul, works with your data. If we ever add staff or service providers who need access, we'll tell you first.

Keeping and deleting it

We keep your data only while we're working together. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

If something goes wrong

If we learn that anyone got access to your data who shouldn't have, we'll tell you within 72 hours: what happened, what data was involved and what we're doing about it.
